Interview: RICHARD PITMAN: is one of the most loved ex-jockeys in racing, perhaps best known for his gallant second in the 1973 Grand National on the freewheeling Crisp, caught just before the line by Red Rum. A published author with many titles, Richard won the 1974 Champion Hurdle on Lanzarote, and can count two King George VI Chases, the Whitbread and Hennessy Gold Cups on his CV.
